East-West Half Bezel Solitaire Engagement Ring Setting

The center stone is set sideways, east to west across the finger, instead of the usual north to south. A half bezel (a metal rim along the two long sides) holds it, leaving the short ends open to the light. The head sits low, and the plain band is very thin, 1.5mm to 1.6mm wide. There are no side diamonds, so the center stone is the only diamond. It is made for an emerald-cut center stone.
