Does the pendant come with a chain, and what length?

Accepted Answer

Many diamond pendants come on a matching chain, usually around 16 to 18 inches, which sits at the collarbone. A shorter chain sits higher; a longer one drapes lower. You can also wear the pendant on a chain you already own.

To change the look, hang it on a fine gold cable chain.

Which metal can I choose?

Every diamond pendant comes in 14K or 18K gold — yellow, white or rose — or in platinum. White gold and platinum keep the diamond looking bright and icy; yellow and rose gold give a warmer tone. Platinum is the most durable for something you wear every day.

A diamond pendant is shopped by the diamond's carat weight — how big the stone looks on the neck. A smaller carat weight suits everyday wear and layering; a larger one makes more of a statement. Because ours are lab grown, a bigger carat weight costs far less than the mined version.

How do I care for a diamond pendant?

Accepted Answer

Check the bail and clasp are closed each time you put it on, and store it flat or hanging so the chain does not tangle. Clean it now and then with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, then pat dry. Have the setting checked once in a while, like any fine jewelry.
