Knife-Edge Six-Prong Solitaire Engagement Ring Setting

The band of this solitaire is knife-edge: its two sides slope up to meet in a fine ridge along the top, which catches the light and makes the band look slimmer. Six low prongs hold the center stone close to the hand, and there are no side diamonds. The band is 1.9mm to 2mm wide. It takes all ten shapes: round, cushion, oval, princess, emerald, radiant, pear, asscher, marquise or heart.
