The band is plain and brightly polished, but its top is not flat: the middle is raised and steps down to a lower ledge along each side, which catches the light in two lines. Four prongs hold the center stone, and there are no side diamonds. The band is 1.9mm to 2.1mm wide. In yellow and rose gold, the prongs are white gold. It takes all ten shapes: round, cushion, oval, princess, emerald, radiant, pear, asscher, marquise or heart.
